The Colombian airport of Cartagena has engaged ASM, global route development experts, in a campaign of profile raising and market building aimed at capturing the demand for more scheduled flights from the northern city.
ASM will work with the airport's management team to capitalise on this demand as well as a growing interest in the area's Caribbean coastline.
The appointment will see the ASM team utilising their experience of the Americas market to raise the profile of the airport with both the business and tourism markets.
Francisco Cuellar, Vice President Business Development for Latin America, said: "Colombia is definitely an up and coming destination, so this is a really exciting time to be getting involved within the team at Cartagena. There's a great deal of potential in the area in the form of the cruise market and the travel needs of the local communities, and we fully intend to work with the airport to help everyone understand the attraction of the area."
John Grant, Managing Director of ASM, said: "Our appointment by Cartagena is an important addition to ASM's extensive portfolio of clients with the Americas region and sees us continuing to build a strong presence in the area."
