Airport Strategy and Marketing Limited (ASM), the world leader in route development for airports, has just announced the appointment of Jana Niegel as Research and Analysis Manager to be based out of its Manchester office.
Jana will be working on the full range of ASM's analysis products and services to provide traffic as well as route profit and loss forecasts as part of ASM's efforts to generate success for its airport clients around the globe.
Tony Griffin, COO of ASM, comments: "We are delighted to welcome Jana to the team of expert analysts. She brings with her very relevant experience in route revenue and network management. Jana is a German national with airline experience, which we hope will also help ASM to further develop and establish new clients in Germany."
Jana's career in aviation started at Berlin Brandenburg Airport Holding, where she gained experience in passenger services at airports, flight reservation and cargo and aircraft handling. She then moved on to Flughafen Berlin Schoenefeld and later on joined Lufthansa German Airlines, where she was working on the development of a database for operational airport station data and developed a customer-based quality monitoring model for the global ground product.
Before joining ASM, Jana worked as Revenue Management Analyst for BMI, which gained her experience in pricing and inventory control for mid-haul routes, analysis of route performance, passenger and revenue forecasting as well as competitor monitoring.
Jana comments on her new role: "My role at ASM is a great opportunity for me to work with airports from all over the world. It allows me to get to know new markets and better understand the different airport requirements. Having worked for airlines in the past, it will be interesting to analyse data from an airport's perspective. I very much look forward to the challenges ahead and to helping in delivering new air services for ASM's airport clients. "
